On a day when school was out, two compassionate friends and classmates, Tori and Chloe, set out on a mission to make a difference. Their goal was to organize a fundraiser that not only raised funds but also filled the hearts of children with joy during challenging times. Inspired by JZips’ mission to bring smiles to children undergoing cancer treatment, Tori and Chloe wanted to do their part to ensure every child could experience happiness, no matter the circumstances.
“We really wanted to get involved in JZips because every child should be able to experience joy when undergoing difficult times,” explained Tori.
With a shared vision and boundless enthusiasm, Tori and Chloe embarked on planning their fundraiser. “We picked Dave & Buster’s because we wanted our friends and other kids in our community to come out to support JZips,” Tori explained. “We thought this would be a fun way to learn about JZips and how other kids can help make life easier for children going through cancer treatment,” Chloe added.
But the girls’ efforts didn’t stop at the fun and games. Tori and Chloe had also gathered an impressive array of raffle items, generously donated by local shops in the community. These items added an exciting dimension to the fundraiser, enticing attendees with the chance to win exciting prizes and, most importantly, contributing to their fundraising goal.
The day of the fundraiser arrived, and the atmosphere at Dave & Buster’s buzzed with excitement. Families, friends, and community members turned up in droves to support Tori and Chloe’s cause. Games and laughter filled the air, creating a sense of togetherness and purpose.
Jordan, the founder of JZips added an extra layer of inspiration to the event, reminding everyone of the impact their contributions would have on children facing cancer.
Tori and Chloe raised over $1,400—a remarkable testament to their dedication.
“We wanted to show that kids can make a difference,” Tori beamed. The success of their fundraiser was a testament to the power of youth-led initiatives and the capacity for kindness to flourish even in the youngest hearts.
